About Ainslie…

Coming from a childhood of being unwell and unable to find the answers through orthodox measures, Ainslie understands the value and empowerment found by gaining answers, support and control over your health and wellbeing. Finding her own answers through naturopathic healing led to a professional interest.

Ainslie has worked in private practice alongside a well known General Practitioner/ Herbalist- Dr Rosslyn Morrison and Naturopaths- Ross and Marilyn Milford. She has also worked for several large nutritional and herbal companies at various levels of the business. In the past two years she has developed and launched a well known range of fertility supplements alongside Francesca Naish and her colleagues at the Jocelyn Centre. She continues to work in the area of new product development in a local, Australian owned healthcare company.

Ainslie holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Nutrition and a Diploma in Western Herbal Medicine and has been working in the area of complementary medicine for the past 13years.

Ainslie enjoys combining the latest in scientific research, (nutrition is such a dynamic field!), with the “tried and true” of traditional knowledge and having worked with well known mentors for many years looks forward to passing on healing traditions to her clients.

Come and talk to Ainslie about a tailored, sensible approach to your health conditions.

Naturopathic Herbal Medicine

Nature has it right!

Many western drugs are originally derived from Western (and Eastern) herbal medicines. A well known example is Aspirin, derived from salicylic acid, is from Salix alba (White Willow bark).

The difference with herbs is that they are chemically complex and therefore as a general rule have less side effects than orthodox medical drugs. Herbs are powerful medicines. They are very effective in treating a broad range of clinical disorders and helping you to achieve your health outcomes.

Ainslie uses teas, tablets and liquid herbs.

Nutritional Medicine

Food is more than just nutritional value. Our relationship with food is influenced by many factors including; health and wellbeing, emotions, family, tradition and culture. Many of us use food as a way to give and receive love and care.

We are all familiar with the saying “we are what we eat”. Well, we are not only what we eat but also, what we can absorb and assimilate. Ainslie always looks at digestion and nutrition as the complex and complete picture that they are.

Nutrition is an individual matter and should be treated as such. What is a healthy diet for one person may not be for another. For instance a soothing milk and honey drink before bed may become a nightmare for someone with lactose intolerance.

Ainslie aims to simplify confusing food messages for her clients and individualise  programs that are perfect for your unique cultural, lifestyle and health needs.

And you will be pleased to know Ainslie ascribes to the philosophy of 90% for the body, 10% for the soul!

What does a consultation involve?

A feeling of reassurance, empowerment and relief…. and a readiness to make a few changes.

From there, an action plan will be formulated which will treat the causes alongside providing immediate symptomatic relief.Your orthdox treatment will be considered as part of this multi care approach.  Treatment suggestions may include; dietary recommendations, lifestyle suggestions and Nutritional and Herbal supplements as required.
