Mindfulness means paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment and non judgmentally". Jon Kabat Zinn
Our thinking mind is a goal-oriented, problem-solving machine. For this reason we find ourselves constantly labeling, judging, planning or remembering but giving no space to creating new thoughts or ideas.
To break our habit of excessive thinking we need to first stop and observe it, to really see our current pattern in broad daylight and then ask ourselves does this serve me?
Cultivating a mindfulness practice is sometimes described as effortless effort and gives us the oppportunity to really get to know how our minds reacts and why. These lunchtime sessions with Amanda will help you to cultivate a mindfulness practice for yourself, with all it's countless benefits, and will introduce some quiet to your day and your week
Amanda recently training at the Gawler Institute with both Ian Gawler and Paul Bedson In mindfulness Meditation to further support her tools as a meditation facilitator.
