What our students say: I have just participated in Fabio's week-long early-morning intensive and I wanted to pass on to you how impressed I was by it. It was inspiring, challenging, thought-provoking and such fun! He is a kind, witty and thoughtful teacher. It was certainly worth the drive from Manly and was well priced. Thank you so much for organising this and I hope there will be many more weeklies like this.

Homeopathy and weight loss ~ from Homeopath, Martine Robertson:
Your weight can be influenced, not only by food and exercise, but also by your emotional wellbeing, underlying physical health problems and your genetic make-up. What is important is whether you FEEL healthy and MAKE HEALTHY CHOICES.
Homeopathy offers an individualised approach to your unique weight problem. Many symptoms you express are the body’s way of counteracting imbalances. For example:
· Craving sweet, salty or fatty foods
· Excess hunger
· Sluggish metabolisms
· Coffee and chocolate addictions
· Emotional imbalances
· Digestive and elimination difficulties
Addressing these can assist you in developing a healthy weight range and outlook.

Wednesdays 6.00-7.20pm with Fabio
10 week course starting Wednesday 1st Febuary, 2012
The origins of postures and hatha yoga were to prepare and support the body for meditation and deep relaxation practices. Pranayam (breath control) was a vital link in strengthening and steadying the mind for meditation.
Proper breathing profoundly improves our whole physical and mental well being. The breath is the only physiological process that can be either voluntary or involuntary. Through Breath Awareness and Pranayam practices we can learn how to relax our body and mind, how to re-energize ourselves and how to tune into our subtle bodies.
This course will focus on teaching gentle asanas (postures) to prepare you for various pranayama and relaxation practices. There is no need to be flexible or strong and this course is suitable for all levels of experience in yoga.
Cost: $165 per person. Bookings are essential, call 9997 2121.
Fabio’s classes emphasize individuality, passion and humour with great respect for all the ancient traditions. Fabio is passionate about the principles and practices that take place ‘off the mat’ but that he believes are essential for a more authentic way of yogic life.

Holiday Yoga Workshop for Teens |
|
|
|
Wednesday 11th January, 2012 - 11.30am-1.00pm
with Yolande
As the pace and expectations gain momentum for this next generation, as parents, we are at odds to help our teenagers to both thrive in this hi-tech environment and actively facilitate the simple, basic and fundamental values of self-examination and stillness. Some children will have a natural tendency toward one or the other, but at the end of the day both are vital in order for an individual to be well balanced and so have the opportunity to experience wellbeing in life.
This FUN, ACTIVE workshop will focus on the all the usual physical conditions experienced by teenagers these days: upper back tightness, lower back weakness, postural imbalances and breath control. The flow of the class will include shoulder releases, standing poses, inversions, twists and forward bends. The session will close in stillness and silence and you would be surprised to see how eagerly this quiet is received.
The teachings of Yoga help us to discover the wealth within. That riches outside ourselves have the illusion of contentment, are temporary pleasures and are the markers of the suffering and discontent that many teens endure. A well-rounded Yoga practice offers a place of refuge, where everyone is equal, regardless of social standing, body type or interests. It’s in the simple things like trying to sit still and silent for 3 minutes that balance is struck.
No screens, no batteries and not downloadable – the antidote to the modern era.
Open to all high school-aged students. Investment: $55 per student.
