pregnancy acupunctureI'm pregnant! How can acupuncture help?

PRE CONCEPTION:  To prepare your body for pregnancy. Improve  your health, stamina, and detoxify.

MORNING SICKNESS:  Nausea in early pregnancy is common, unpleasant BUT definitely not untreatable. Get immediate  relief with acupuncture.

HEADACHES :  Many people suffer headaches or migraines during pregnancy and find there are very few and sometimes ineffective drugs available to them.  Acupuncture is very widely used in the successful treatment of headaches.

COLDS AND FLU: Don’t suffer through colds and flu. Pregnancy can be a time of low immunity where you catch everything going around. Come and get rapid relief.

BACK PAIN: Acupuncture is excellent in treating back pain. Pregnancy may exacerbate a pre-existing back condition or simply occur late in pregnancy and you commonly only need one treatment to get complete relief

SWELLING:  Oedema is very common and very uncomfortable especially in the hotter months, and can lead to other symptoms such as carpal tunnel syndrome. Acupuncture is effective in reducing swelling. Drink some dandelion tea to reduce fluid too.

BREECH; An absolute must-  successful in 75% of cases!! If your baby is in the breech position at 33 weeks then come and have acupuncture and moxibustion (burning of herbs over specific points) Don’t wait. treatment is best between 33 and 36 weeks.

LATE PREGNANCY: Come in for a treatment at 36 weeks to ensure your baby is not induced Preparing your body for the labour is very important. Acupuncture can increase your energy tone the uterus and relieve anxiety in the weeks prior to delivery.
Remember 80% of first babies come late!!

INDUCTION:  If your baby is overdue then acupuncture can help to get you into labour by ripening the cervix and focusing your body’s energy on the uterus. Acxupuncture does not put you into labour it simply gives nature a little push.

POSTPARTUM:The most difficult time to come but one of the mostimportant.  Insufficient milk supply, mastitis, and the fatigue , anaemia that follow the birth. Also for anxiety and insomnia that can sometimes make the new mother feel like she is struggling and overwhelmed acupuncture and Chinese herbs can be of enormous benefit. Bring your baby with you
